Fantana stands for a technology-driven transformation in sensing, space, and optical systems.
In a world where precise data and reliable technologies are becoming ever more critical, we develop solutions that go far beyond the status quo – robust, scalable, and future-oriented.
Our work centers on highly integrated sensing systems and optical technologies that deliver value in space, energy, industry, and aviation. From single-photon Doppler wind lidars to ultra-compact satellite laser optics and adaptive sensor architectures, we combine precision, agility, and manufacturability in one approach.
With our interdisciplinary team, we unite opto-mechatronics, embedded intelligence, and photonic systems to create products that set new standards – in orbit, in sustainable energy systems, and across demanding industrial environments.
Since our founding in Vienna in 2019, we have pursued this mission consistently. In 2021, Fantana became a GmbH, soon followed by the first sensor and space projects. Today, we are building solutions developed and manufactured in Europe – ready for global application.
European sovereignty through disruptive technology.
We believe in a future where Europe acts independently in optics, sensing, and space. Fantana shapes this future by consistently investing in research, development, and production – locally, agilely, and at the highest technical level.
